relax and enjoy!

Local attractions
Come and stay with us while you see all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. There are many
superb attractions, events, activities and beaches - just to list a few - that are here for you to explore.
We can help you plan a wonderful stay and, in many cases, provide discounted tickets too. Just ask
Glen or Robin for more information about anything that takes your fancy.
The home of Australian golf
The Mornington Peninsula is your golfers paradise, with nearly twenty courses
scattered from the bay to the ocean. There is a course suited to any handicap,
from the serious to the social player, and each course offers something a bit
special, whether it be beautiful bay views, interesting birdlife or, in the case of
the Flinders Golf Club, the cliff top "coffin hole".

Many of the courses use bore water irrigation, so they are perenially green, so
whatever the weather, you can play year-round on the Peninsula.

We can help you to plan a golfing holiday where you never play the same
course twice. We especially cater for mid-week golfing groups.

Grape grazing on the Mornington Peninsula
The Mornington Peninsula is a gorgeous network of vineyards, with vignerons
who are noted for their hospitality, as well as talent. 'Cellar dooring' is one of
the Peninsula's greatest attractions and you can try and buy many wines that
have achieved national and international acclaim.

Due to the mild, maritime climate, many excellent wines are produced on the
Peninsula, with the most renowned being Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The wineries are also set amongst some gorgeous parts of the Peninsula, for
example Red Hill, Merricks and Balnarring, so why not combine an afternoon
of grape grazing with a tour of the region?

Relaxing massage just for you A world of relaxation
The Peninsula Hot Springs is a beautiful natural hot spring and day spa centre.
Natural thermal mineral waters flow into the pools and private baths providing
a relaxing and rejuvenating soak in an idyllic setting.

The thermal mineral water temperature varies from pool to pool ranging from
36ºC to 43ºC. The centre also offers spa treatments and a cafe.

You can purchase your day spa tickets from Rye Beach Motel reception.

Sailing on the bay
One other popular pastime on the Peninsula is sailing. Do you want to hire a
boat or skipper? Motor or wind? Luxury or adventure? The choice is yours.

You could easily incorporate a tour into your day of sailing, for example an
excursion to French Island to learn about the environment and heritage.

For other great ideas on where and what to sail, click on the link below, or
speak to Robin or Glen about what they can recommend.

Go on a treasure hunt
The markets of the Peninsula are a great place for a treasure hunt! Pick up
some local produce and craft, often from the makers themselves, or turn up
a bargain at the second-hand and bric-a-brac stalls.

Each market has its own atmosphere and excitement, and many of them are
set in very picturesque settings.

Information about beach or bush walks and rides Your Millionaire's walk (or cycle)
For some, the beauty of the Peninsula is best discovered at a leisurely pace,
so pack your camera and picnic and set out for a stroll on a beach-side board-
walk. If something a bit more energetic is on the cards, the Peninsula plays
host to a network of beach and bush walking tracks, many with breath-taking
views of Bass Straight or Port Phillip Bay and all with a diverse range of
landscapes and wildlife en route.

A favourite with locals is walking the stunning cliff top 'Millionaires Walk' from
Sorrento.

The bay is also a great place for cycling. Bring or hire your bike, and ride the
cycle path from Sorrento to McCrae. Or why not combine two or more of the
Peninsula's attractions, planning a ride from a winery to the beach.
